The most wonderful time of the volleyball year! After a great weekend of sweet sixteen and elite eight matches, it leads to the AVCA Convention, held in Kansas City this year, and the Final Four matches.  The year of volleyball parody is evident with only one of the top four seeds making it into the Final Four.  Should we be surprised it’s Penn State?  We should stop doubting Russ Rose and his ability to coach and recruit, but then again, the bracket was stacked in his favor.  The Texas – Penn State rematch should be interesting.

This AVCA Convention, I will not only be a participant, but also a presenter.  My topic is “AVCA Convention 101: What Every First-Time Attendee Needs to Know”.  It will be held on Wednesday, December 15th in Room KCCC 2503AB.  Hopefully, all new convention attendees will be at the presentation and even those that would like some additional guidance of the convention.  It will be a great time to network and prepare for the convention.
