Bravo to all the women in the gym today! And by in the gym, I’m not talking about”spinning their wheels” on cardio equipment. The women in the gym were lifting in the free weight section, far out numbering the men. In fact, besides my husband, there was only one other guy in the gym. The stigma of ‘women don’t’ or ‘women shouldn’t’ lift weights is a dying fad. And that is GREAT news!
Just wanted to shout how happy this makes me. The key to a great body is a combination of strength training, cardio, and proper nutrition. Don’t be scared of “throwing around some iron”! Pick-up those barbells and dumbbells, and not just those 5 and 8 pound ones. Lift heavy on some days. You will not get HUGE! Your muscles get stronger and LEANER and your bones do too. Trust me, your body will thank you!
